Elie Wiesel film reaction
In class today, we watched a short interview with the author of Night, Elie Wiesel. The book night is about the Holocaust. Wiesel was a survivor of the Holocaust, and Night tells his story. During that interview, Wiesel said many inspiring things. He did use power of words in a good way. He is a Jew so his faiths were different, but he said that he never lost faith in God. Elie then later mentioned that in his tradition, he can ask God questions. The interviewer asked him something on how he felt while this was happening, like his emotions and Elie said, He went through some emotions and it changed him. The main emotion that he felt was probably fear. Fear is a common thing, but with was going on, there is no doubt he was scared.. Elie is a very inspiring person by not only his words, but the way he responds to things. He said he wants all bad thing to stop. I do agree with him, I do want all bad things to stop and other people might/ want that. Concluding to that interview, I did have a lot of mixed emotions. I felt a wave sadness rush over my body when Elie said that when his dad was getting beat up to death he couldn't do anything. I know that reading this book is gonna make me feel a lot emotions, but it is a book that we have to read and by reading this, we can get his point of view while the Holocaust was happening.
