Chapter 2
In the second chapter of Ten Letters:Americans tell their president, it started by saying, "my own path to presidency was met by many challenges." (p.31) The main idea in chapter was about a black kid named, Stephan Johnson, who was born in South Philly. He was inspired by Obama, that many kids in his class started to call him "Obama". Stephan did take that for granted and wanted to become president himself. Obama and Stephan have many things incommon. For example, they were both raised by a single mother and their dad left them. Stephan ended up running for student concil for his class and he got presidnt. A positive thing was his grades were getting better. Stephan then got into a collage. Stephan had a hard childhood but in the end, everything he did, he did it for a reason.

Chapter 1
In chapter 1 in the book Ten Letters:The Stories Americans tell their President, by Eli Saslow the first chapter is about diffrent problems that people are asking their president to help them with. In the very begining of the chapter there was a quote that said "I lost my job, my health, benifits and my self worth in a matter of 5 days" this quote made me relize that not everyone is that fourtunet. Most of these stories involved people asking for money, for health care and a better education. One of the stories was a mother who had a son in Afghanistan, another one about how she was getting bad education. Obama did try to reaspond to all of them, which left the persons who wrote him letters in shock, but they were so blessed. What Obama does by reading ten letters everyday and reading them shows true leadership.
